This week our team has been hard at work building a new fleet of Clipper Race Deckvest VITO lifejackets — the award-winning model trusted by professional sailors in the world’s toughest ocean races. The VITO is purpose-built for high-end offshore performance and features the latest generation Hammar® hydrostatic inflator, tailored fit and fast tune buckle system for easy, secure closure.

Every Clipper Race VITO is custom-equipped with a MOB (Man Overboard) AIS Beacon, enabling automatic position alerts in the event of a crew overboard – a crucial safety enhancement for a race where conditions can be extreme.

Each Spinlock Deckvest VITO for the Clipper Race is designed, assembled, and tested in Cowes on the Isle of Wight, the spiritual home of British sailing. This hands-on approach allows us to maintain complete control over product quality and innovation, ensuring every lifejacket leaving our building is race-ready and built to perform in the harshest ocean environments.
