Charity

Spinlock are proud to support a number of charities and organisations. The focus of our charitable support is in areas aligned to our business and our employees.

Involvement in the Community: In the areas where we are based, we encourage partnerships with local community organisations, schools and colleges to support numerous projects. Employees are encouraged to be involved in their local communities, through volunteering or fundraising and to make use of the company's payroll giving facility.

At Spinlock, we recognise that the benefits are mutual; employees are proud of helping to improve and support communities, which in turn helps them to develop their own skills and experience. We have employees who are local school Governors, board members for local nurseries, who help run local sporting clubs and who give talks and demonstrations for schools and local groups.

During 2011 we launched our Employee Charity Panel to encourage and support more staff to get involved with their community. Employees can apply for funding (monetary, product or time) to support any charity or community initiative they are personally involved with. These applications are reviewed by the Panel who meet half yearly to allocate funds to the charities that they think will benefit the most.

Need a helping hand? We may be able to help. If you are based locally to us and need some hands to make light work of your project then give us a shout. We would like to support local charities and community organisations that would benefit from a few extra hands. We may be able to offer you up to 40 hours of hard work to get a job done; such as marshalling, decorating or gardening. It may not be our day job but we’ll always do our best for you. If we can spare the hours depending on our schedule then we’ll be there. Email sustain@spinlock.co.uk with your requests. Please give as much detail as possible in order for your application to be accepted.
